CM Punk is once again proving himself to be a top player in WWE. His recent segment with Seth Rollins prompted WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long to discuss a possibly different direction in the story.
On a previous episode of RAW, Punk and Rollins were seen brawling in the ring. Their hatred for each other proved to be enough to power an intense tussle, which even security guards had trouble handling. However, the length of the segment drew some criticism.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Mac questioned why the police weren't booked to be involved in the segment. Teddy Long said:
"You can't keep involving the police. Okay? I mean the police are real. What I mean is it's alright to use them every once in a while." [From 04:26 to 04:33]
Long further shared a way that the police could have been involved, which is by making the conflict between Rollins and Punk affect a bystander:
"Once they get up to the concessions, maybe they make a mistake right there and one of the concession guys is trying to get out of the way and he gets nailed. But that's a plant. Okay? Make that one of our guys. He trying to get out of the way and he gets planted. Now you just hit a civilian, now it's time for the police. " [From 04:50 to 04:08]

The WWE Hall of Famer also thinks Adam Pearce should have handled the situation differently
After the tussle between Seth Rollins and CM Punk, the former was seen backstage with Adam Pearce, the WWE RAW General Manager.
Seth seemed to be fuming as he demanded a match against The Second City Saint. However, Teddy Long stated on The Wrestling Time Machine that Adam Pearce should have been more firm in the interaction.
"Had it been me, when Seth Rollins said I wanna talk to you, then I would have gotten right in his face. I am the GM, I am the boss, so why would I be worried about you doing something to me. If you do something to me, I have the opportunity to fire you." [2:19 onwards]
It remains to be seen how the storyline between the two in WWE pans out.
