"You know Seth is going over" - Former writer bashes WWE for predictable outcome of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament (Exclusive)

Seth Rollins earned the World Heavyweight title opportunity
Seth Rollins is regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers of his generation

Former WWE writer Vince Russo feels that the latest episode of Monday Night RAW was predictable and uninspiring.

The World Heavyweight Championship tournament got underway this week with two triple-threat matches. Seth Rollins emerged as the winner in the first match after defeating Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura, while Finn Balor won the second one as Cody Rhodes was neutralized by Brock Lesnar during the match. In the main event, The Visionary put down Balor to advance to the next round.

On this week's episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo claimed that the entire show was predictable. He stated that fans already had an idea that Brock Lesnar would cost Cody Rhodes his chance and Seth would walk away with the win.

"Looking at tonight's show, you got the three matches, you got the three ways, you know Rollins is going over. There was heavy speculation that Brock was gonna scr*w Cody. It's just that you know these things going in. You knew they were gonna spend 20 minutes on the main event at the end. The wrestling purists are gonna go nuts because it's gonna be a 5-star match. How many 5-star matches can you watch?" said Russo.

WWE veteran continued:

"You know Seth is going over. You're sitting there for 20 minutes just waiting to see the obvious. I don't know how I'm supposed to put that over." [From 2:49 - 3:45]

Vince Russo feels the WWE talents are not at fault

During the same conversation, the former WWE head writer stated that he did not blame the talent for the poor production. He detailed that superstars should have more say in the creative process to bring out a better product.

"I do wish there were things for me to talk about, things for me to be positive about. I think I put over certain talent. I say all the time, the talents don't write the show. They're not involved in the creative. I think they could speak up more." [From 2:05 - 2:24]

Russo also mentioned that he always put over good talent, but currently, he is not enjoying the brand of wrestling on the flagship show.
