Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently spoke about Chelsea Green winning the Women's United States Championship. The 33-year-old star won the gold this past Saturday.
Green worked through a tough bracket to reach the finals of the Women's United States Championship. Finally, she overcame Michin last weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event to win the title.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell explained that Chelsea Green's finisher looked dangerous and painful to take. The veteran claimed he would never take that move even if he was offered good money. He stated it was a great match and that WWE had done the right thing by making Chelsea the inaugural Women's US champ.
"It was the upside down, she calls it The Unprettier. Good finish and dangerous-looking too. You couldn't pay me $100,000 to take that move. Somebody might say oh you're just upside down on my back and I'm just sitting down but bullc*ap. Wouldn't be sitting down with me. That was a good finish and they put it on the right person." With Chelsea Green as the champion, WWE has the unique opportunity to build the Women's midcard around her.
It will be interesting to see who becomes Chelsea's first challenger for the coveted title.
