WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has been aiming to make a big impact as a singles wrestler and win a women's world title. Interestingly, a potential opportunity to team up with her role model Melina seems to have her hyped up for the tag team division.
The 45-year-old WWE legend is a three-time Women’s Champion and two-time Divas Champion. While speaking on the Muscle Memory podcast, Melina noted how tag team wrestling took more effort and strategy. When asked by the host who would she like to pair with for such an important role, Melina named Zelina Vega.
Responding to a video clip of this post on X/Twitter, the Latino World Order member reacted via a message. She noted that she would love to tag with the WWE legend any day.
“What is life when one of your biggest inspirations in wrestling and one of your best friends, out of anyone, being the legend she is and people she’s worked with, says they’d would want to tag w/ youuu to go for gold? I❤️U @RealMelina I’d tag w/ you any freaking day. It would be an honor. One of the coolest things in life is earning the respect of your heroes and this one, alongside Rey, makes my heart smile big,” she wrote.

Zelina Vega recently lost a potential title shot
The Monday Night RAW episode following Crown Jewel saw Adam Pearce holding a Battle Royal to determine Liv Morgan’s next challenger. Zelina Vega was one of the 15 women who entered the ring to compete for the number one contender spot for the Women’s World Championship.
ZV eliminated Ivy Nile but was later eliminated by Kairi Sane, whose tag team partner, IYO SKY eventually won the Battle Royal.
While the loss did sting the LWO member, she was happy that her fans still had her back. She sent an emotional message to the ZV Army via an Instagram story and thanked them for their support.
"Love you, ZV ARMY! I love how organically mine you are. No backing; no one fed me to you or shoved my dopeness down your throat; you are genuinely down for me and ride for me no matter what. Thank you🙏," Vega wrote.
Here is a screengrab of her Instagram story.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former Queen of the Ring winner and whether she'll be able to a title anytime soon.
