Both Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce have their hands full right now. SmackDown is currently hosting the Women's US Championship tournament, whereas RAW has started the Women's Intercontinental Championship tournament. Both tournaments have been getting a lot of hype, especially on social media. So, looking to ride the wave even further, could Aldis announce a new tournament on the blue brand tonight?

The answer to this question is 'Yes'. There is a definite possibility that Nick Aldis might announce a new tournament tonight—a tournament to determine the next contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. After all, The Motor City Machine Guns haven't had a proper title defense since their match with A-Town Down Under.

Considering the disarray the SmackDown tag team division is currently in, announcing a tournament would be best. Nick Aldis has plenty of headaches to deal with as is on the blue brand, so a tournament would help settle the turmoil in the tag team division. It would definitely put teams like DIY and the Street Profits at ease, especially considering they've been at each other's throats.

Top name doesn't want to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. More details HERE.

Most importantly though, The Motor City Machine Guns will finally get to face a proper set of Number One Contenders. And this time around, assuming there are no shenanigans, none of the teams in the division can complain. But, at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation.

Nick Aldis has both the Bloodline saga and the Cody Rhodes-Kevin Owens drama to deal with

As mentioned earlier, Nick Aldis already has enough headaches to deal with on SmackDown. Chief among them of course, is the Bloodline saga and the ongoing drama between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Both situations have the potential to get completely out of hand and as the General Manager, he needs to be vigilant.

On one hand, although Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline came out on top at Survivor Series, The OTC still needs to get his hands on the Ula Fala. Safe to say, Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline won't give it up without a fight. On the other hand, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are both out for blood, each other's to be exact. And, with Saturday Night's Main Event just around the corner, the tension between the two is sure to reach an all-time high.

It will be interesting to see how Aldis navigates through this highly volatile atmosphere. This is certainly a time when his acumen as General Manager is being tested.
