WWE SummerSlam was a memorable affair and saw five title changes which will affect the landscape of the company moving forward. The event was a spectacular success according to many fans.
One of the most shocking was when LA Knight was able to pin Logan Paul following a BFT, but many eagle-eyed fans noted that Logan's foot was under the rope when the three was counted.
This match wasn't contested as a falls count anywhere and the referee apparently failed to check Logan Paul's leg position before the pin, which means that if Paul wanted to seek legal advice following his loss, then he definitely could.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Paul has brought a legal team to WWE in the past and could force Aldis' hand with this one because technically the pin shouldn't have counted. Anything on the ropes, through or under the ropes is considered out of bounds and the company has called upon this rule in the past.
Will Nick Aldis take the title from LA Knight following WWE SummerSlam?
Nick Aldis could be forced to take the title away from Knight or this could be a new way for Paul to push for a rematch at Bash in Berlin in three weeks time.
In the past, Nick Aldis has addressed issues with botches and he could be the one to bring up the fact that Knight technically didn't pin Paul at SummerSlam because of the referee error. however, it could also be claimed that Paul used brass knuckles in the match to get the upper hand, so both men are on an even playing field here.
One major incident that proved that the legs under the rope are a major deal to WWE was at Roadblock back in 2016 when Dean Ambrose attempted to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H but his foot under the rope meant that the referee was unable to make the count.
