Just like all the Young Bucks matches out there, this one started slowly before the pace kicked in. Both teams had some near falls, with the most notable one coming for the Young Bucks who failed to finish the match despite hitting a 450 Splash on Berretta.

Towards the end, Bucks delivered a Meltzer driver to Romero outside the ring. Minutes later, Bucks hit another Meltzer driver on Romero and locked in the sharpshooter to get the win.

#7 Eight Man Tag Team Match: Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay & The Briscoes vs. 'The American Nightmare' Cody, Marty Scurll, Bad Luck Fale & Yujiro Takahashi

The start of the match saw the wrestler tagging in each other without any relevant action. Later, the fans gave a huge reaction when Cody and Will Ospreay shared the ring. There were also chants for Fale throughout the match.

Sequences involving Cody and Ospreay stood out from the lot. Cody picked up the win for his team after hitting the Cross Rhodes on Ospreay.

#8 IWGP Intercontinental Title Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs. Billy Gunn

Gunn exceeded expectations and actually looked good. He did receive some jeers from the fans for the slow pace he showed early on but it proved to be a great heel tactic.

In fact, Gunn frustrating the fans turned out to be the theme of the match. Gunn even got a near fall, before Tanahashi came back strong and hit the High Fly Flow to pick up the win.

#9 IWGP US Title Match: Kenny Omega vs. Tomohiro Ishii

Omega faked a knee injury early into the match, in turn, allowing the Young Bucks to set up a table. The table soon came to play when Omega hit Ishii with a Dragon Suplex off the apron through the table. Both wrestlers were stiff throughout the match and the fans loved it as well.

Omega hit numerous Dragon Suplexes while Ishii delivered the One Winged Angel and got a near fall. Finally, despite efforts from Ishii to break away, Omega hit the One Winged Angel to get the win.

After the match, the Bullet Club members came out and celebrated with Omega. Cody teased another altercation with Omega but later went on to hug the newly crowned US champion.

Result: Kenny Omega def. Ishii to become the inaugural IWGP US champion
