What’s the story?
Bullet Club members Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson were recently interviewed by reporter Chris Van Vliet at Ring of Honor’s live event show at Fort Lauderdale.
During the interview, the trio discussed a host of topics, one of them being Kenny Omega talking about his upcoming match against Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12.
In case you didn’t know…
Chris Jericho recently made his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling after a long period of time and challenged Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega for a match at next year’s Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome.

Omega, without any hesitation, accepted his fellow Canadian’s challenge and is now all set to defend his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship against the former WWE Intercontinental champion, come January 4th in Tokyo.
The heart of the matter
During his interview with Chris Van Vliet; Kenny Omega revealed that he has been looking forward to the match against Jericho for a very long time.
The Bullet Club leader stated that despite not being in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom next year, he [Omega] wants to make a huge impact on the card and steal the show, which was why he agreed to wrestle Jericho. Needless to say, this match is likely to make a bigger impact in North America than any prior Kenny Omega.
The 34-year-old ended the interview saying he would like to create more headlines with Jericho before and after the Tokyo Dome show in 2018.
“I still wanted the chance to be the match that was talked about. So Chris Jericho has given me just that opportunity and together I really hope we can make even more headlines before the show and even after the show.”- Kenny Omega stated.
What’s next?
Kenny Omega has currently been wrestling more on Ring of Honor, rather than NJPW.
He has recently appeared on many ROH shows, along with the rest of the Bullet Club and this past week fans also witnessed him and the BC adding a new member to the faction, in the form of famous actor Stephen Amell.
Authors take
Personally, I’m as excited as the rest of the world is regarding the Jericho vs Omega match for the IWGP US Title in 2018.
The two men will surely put up one of the best matches of the year, and their one-on-one bout could possibly turn out to be a match of the year candidate.
