NJPW Rumors: Cody Rhodes to be revealed as the new member of Bullet Club?

Cody also recently won the WCPW Internet Championship

There have been a lot of speculation recently, about who could be the latest member to join the legendary NJPW stable, known as Bullet Club. Based on the current Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega's recent tweet, which mentioned that their new member would be "a monster that devours all competition", many believed it to be the former WWE Superstar Ryback.

However, if the latest reports from PWinsider are to be believed, the Superstar to join the legendary NJPW faction, could be very different from the former Big Guy of WWE in terms of physique and wrestling style.

According to the site, the latest addition to the NJPW faction is going to be none other than the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes. This also makes sense, considering Rhodes’ recent heel turn during his ROH debut.

Kenny Omega first announced via a tweet on December 1st, that Bullet Club will introduce a new member very soon. He mentioned in the tweet that the paperwork regarding the signing of their newest member has already been finished.

It was later announced by New Japan Pro Wrestling that the new participant of the Bullet Club, would be introduced during the NJPW World Tag League finals on December 10th.

Since leaving WWE back in May, Cody Rhodes has been enjoying his run as an independent wrestler. He has appeared at many famous indie promotions such as EVOLVE and WCPW. You can watch his TNA debut in the video below:

He also recently won his first Championship outside of WWE in GFW NEX*GEN Championship. He defeated Sonjay Dutt during the Showcase of Champions event, to win the title.

Originally starting his indie career as a babyface, Rhodes recently turned heel, when he defeated former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal, during his ROH debut using a low blow.

If the news is true, then Cody Rhodes joining Bullet Club is going to be beneficial for both sides. Rhodes is one of the hottest indie talents currently, so his addition would help in making the stable more interesting. On the other hand, joining Bullet Club will help Cody take his independent career to the next level.

Although whether he really turns out to be the latest recruit of Bullet Club, will only be revealed on December 10th.
