Ospreay and Takahashi went toe-to-toe as the match began but Ospreay got the better of the opening exchanges and posed on the top turnbuckle. Both men traded strikes before speeding things up.

They continued to avoid each other's offense before Takahashi hit a hurricanrana. He looked to follow it up with a sunset powerbomb from the apron to the floor but had to settle for an apron bomb after Ospreay blocked the initial attempt.
