WWE NXT Great American Bash Night 1 took place during the latest episode of the white and gold brand. In the main event, Roxanne Perez defeated Chase U's Thea Hail to retain her NXT Women's Championship.
The show also featured a significant build-up for Great American Bash Night 2, which will take place next week. Meta-Four's Oro Mensah again got the better of Ethan Page this week, unofficially pinning him to a count of three. Later in the show, they signed a contract for their match next week for the NXT Championship.
Additionally, Joe Hendry's special live concert took place during Night 1, but an attack from Gallus blindsided him. The TNA star was furious that his moment had been ruined and challenged Joe Coffey to a match next week, which would be his first singles match in WWE.

Roxanne Perez sends a message to WWE's new signings after NXT Great American Bash
In the main event, Roxanne Perez defeated Thea Hail to retain her NXT Women's Championship during Night 1 of NXT Great American Bash.
After her victory, Roxanne showed respect to Thea but also made a bold statement. She declared that everyone needs to stop worrying about anyone taking the title away from her, emphasizing that even WWE's newest signings, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, won't be able to do so.
Roxanne claimed that NXT has the best women's division and that being the champion makes her the best woman in the world.
"I'll give Thea (Hail) her respect because she almost had me there. But realistically, everybody needs to stop worrying about everybody else around the world. Not a Thea, not a Giulia, not a Stephanie (Vaquer). NXT is the best women's division in the world, and (this) title is on my shoulder, which means I am the best woman in the world," Roxanne said.
It will be interesting to see what's next for the NXT Women's Champion moving forward.
