10. Pete Dunne - Another young star who should be given a little time to develop before being called up. He will likely be made to carry the NXT UK division for a while before moving up to the main roster. Dunne has a great look and a unique style inside the ring that should see him be successful on the main roster. While his call up may not be the most imminent he is among the most real of all the prospects on this list.
9. Shayna Baszler - Baszler comes across a legitimately threatening. She is an underrated in-ring performer and looks poised to run the women's division in NXT for some time. She is a little hit-or-miss at times on the mic and just needs some general polishing before she is main roster ready. Her friendship with Ronda Rousey makes her eventual transition to the main roster easy to write.
8. Velveteen Dream - Dream may have the most potential of anyone on this list. He is a star already and given his tender age is only going to get better. The only reason he falls down on this list is that, given his age, there is no need to rush him onto the main roster and letting him develop for some time in NXT is probably the best course of action.
7. Tommaso Ciampa - While Ciampa is one of the biggest stars in NXT and is one of the brands best performers, he is a relatively high-risk prospect as to whether or not his character will translate well on the main roster. He is undersized compared to the typical heel in WWE and with the more casual fan in mind it would be a gamble to build the treacherous history behind Ciampa on the main roster that has made him such a success in NXT.
6. Heavy Machinery - While they aren't a big name in NXT, this team are bound to work as an act on the main roster. Otis Dozovic has a long career ahead of him as a comedy act on the main roster and while it remains to be seen if him or his partner will ever become more than that, this team could be called up to day as a fun tag team towards the bottom of the card.
