5. EC3 - EC3 has the look of a star and has bundles of charisma both in and out of the ring. His in-ring work is solid and so it seems the only thing he needs before going the main roster is just having some meaningful feuds in NXT and likely capturing or challenging for a title.

4. Aleister Black - Black is the NXT champion and therefore likely already on the cusp of a main roster call-up. His look and entrance make him seem like a star and his in-ring work is fantastic. However, Black still has some ways to go on the mic before he is ready to mix it with the top guys in the WWE.

3. Ricochet - Ricochet will be a success on the main roster simply because he can do things in the ring that no-one else can. While he is still a new face in NXT he is likely to move on up fairly quickly. A little more character development and just building a larger catalogue of top-notch performances are all that need to happen before Ricochet is main roster ready.

2. Johnny Gargano - Gargano's in-ring ability is his greatest strength as he has proven in the last 3 NXT TakeOvers. He has a knack for drawing sympathy from the crowd as an underdog babyface which makes his lack of size a non-factor. A little more spark on the mic could be the only thing that might prevent him from being a major star on the main roster.

1. Adam Cole - Cole has managed to draw enormous crowd reactions in NXT without performing in the ring too regularly. He has a great look and is a strong worker and his penchant for performing as part of a stable makes a natural pathway for him to join the main roster as part of a group. The NXT North American championship scene and a potential NXT championship program seem to be the only things delaying his promotion to the main roster.
