#2. Shayna Baszler(c) vs Kairi Sane - NXT Women's Championship match

Baszler will face Sane in a rematch of their MYC finals.

Shayna Baszler has been an unstoppable force ever since making her debut on NXT TV. Winning the title from Ember Moon, she has been on a winning streak and no woman on the roster has pinned or submitted her since she became Champion. Only Nikki Cross and Ember Moon have come remotely close to defeating her. Remotely.

But last year's Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane may change that. Sane won a #1 contender triple threat match also involving Candice Le Rae and Nikki Cross to get this opportunity. But, there is a far deeper history between Sane and Baszler. Back during the first Mae Young Classic tournament, the duo faced each other in the Grand Finals with Sane coming out on top. Being one of the only women to have beaten Baszler, the match psychology should revolve around this story.

Sane should be the first real comeuppance for Shayna Baszler to receiving since Ember Moon. Their match will probably be fantastic with the crowd firmly behind Sane. However, I would rather have Baszler keep her title than lose it at this point. She had been receiving some X-Pac heat for being a bit boring but has evolved and won over the fans. It would be a shame to take the title off of her at this point especially with WWE Evolution coming up. A lengthy heel run like hers should get ended by someone with a lot more momentum. For example, the winner of the Mae Young Classic 2018.
