In the main event of the first night of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai went head-to-head with longtime rival Raquel Gonzalez. Io Shirai had enjoyed one of the longest reigns ever with the NXT Women's Championship, and as the titleholder, she had overcome many powerful opponents including Candice LeRae and Rhea Ripley.

In her previous NXT TakeOver showings, Io Shirai has always put her body on the line to deliver outstanding moments. In the match where she won the NXT Women's Championship, she flattened Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair with a crossbody from the top of the house set. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, she stole the show when she lept from the top of the cage with a trash can on her head.

Io Shirai's showing at Stand & Deliver was no different. Towards the end of the match, Shirai appeared on top of the skull at the top of the ramp. She then dived from it, and hit Raquel Gonzalez from twenty feet high, with the pair crashing onto the steel grate below.

Although Io Shirai lost her title to Raquel Gonzalez, she had one of the biggest moments from across the two days.
