Adam Cole (c) vs. Johnny Gargano - 3 Stages of Hell Match for the NXT Championship

Gargano countered the Last Shot and Cole avoided the Gargano Escape right off the bat. Gargano sent Cole to the outside and hit Cole with the Dropkick through the ropes.

Adam Cole locked in a triangle but Gargano reversed it and put the Ankle Lock on him. Gargano was thrown into the turnbuckle but reversed a dive and then sent Cole crashing to the corner of the ring, into the turnbuckles.

Gargano was focusing on the injured knee of the champ as the match went on. Cole was going for a Panama Sunrise, but Gargano hit the Sunset Driver for a near fall. The champ hit a Ushigurushi and planted Gargano on the mat.

Cole was frustrated after another kick out and brought a steel chair in the ring. The ref complained and Cole set the chair up and sat on it, taunting Gargano. Gargano recovered and used the chair to hit Cole instead, earning a DQ.
