Alternatively, the WWE could go all in with Gargano's heel turn and have him help Tommaso Ciampa retain the NXT title against Velveteen Dream, reuniting DIY in the process.

If this is the route the WWE decides to go down, then their reunion will no doubt be short-lived, with Gargano simply accepting that to truly be able to stop Ciampa, he must get on the same page as him first.

This decision would have shades of the Wyatt-Orton storyline from a few years ago about it, but given the history the two men share, this one would definitely have a much more satisfying conclusion.
