WWE has had some major title changes and new champions crowned over the past few weeks. This dates back to Saturday Night's Main Event where Chelsea Green won the Women's United States Title.

Since then, Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, and Giulia have all won the top women's titles on each brand. Additionally, Lexis King won the Heritage Cup trophy and Oba Femi won the NXT Championship.

Another title change could potentially take place on Friday Night SmackDown tonight. Current champion Shinsuke Nakamura will go one-on-one with former champion LA Knight with the prized belt on the line.

This article will break down a handful of possible finishes for the two top stars going at it later tonight. This includes the return of a giant, interference from a top title contender, and even a new champion being crowned. How might the upcoming bout conclude?

Below are four finishes for LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura on WWE SmackDown.

#4. LA Knight could win back the WWE United States Championship

LA Knight is one of WWE's most popular stars, but it wasn't always this way. Upon joining the main roster in 2022, Vince McMahon made Knight a male model agent named Max Dupri. Once Triple H took over, however, he dropped the silly gimmick and became LA Knight again.

In the time since then, Knight has become extremely popular. But, that isn't all. LA Knight put on several bangers throughout 2024 that proved to WWE fans that he was more than charisma and catchphrases. Knight can go when he is needed to do so.

That in-ring ability might come in handy on Friday Night SmackDown tonight. When LA Knight and Nakamura go one-on-one, he could nail The King Of Strong Style with the BFT, the same move that defeated Logan Paul, Santos Escobar, and others. This could mean a new champion being crowned.

#3. Shinsuke Nakamura could use the mist behind the referee's back to win

The mysterious mist has been used in pro wrestling circles for decades. Be it legends such as the Great Kabuki, The Great Muta, or Tajiri, or more modern names such as Asuka and Malakai Black, the mist has been used as a difference maker in and out of WWE for a long time.

Shinsuke Nakamura has brought back the mist since returning to WWE television. He has used it on LA Knight in the past and it has had a disastrous effect on the former United States Champion.

On Friday Night SmackDown tonight, Nakamura could do it again. While it would result in a disqualification if the referee were to see it, Nakamura might do it when the referee isn't looking. If he can then cover Knight's face during the pinfall afterward, the referee might miss it and Shinsuke could get away with a cheap and hollow victory.

#2. Andrade could interrupt the match

Andrade is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world. He is a former United States Champion and NXT Champion who returned to WWE in the Men's Royal Rumble Match just around a year ago.

El Idolo has been hunting the WWE United States Championship for a while now. He feuded with Carmelo Hayes in the hopes of getting a title shot and ultimately lost to Knight when challenging for it. He also lost to Nakamura.

Despite these failures, Andrade surely still wants a shot at the gold. Come Friday Night SmackDown, El Idolo could interrupt the United States Title match and lay out one or both competitors. This would cause the bout to be thrown out and no winner will be named, but it could lead to a Triple Threat Match between all three men.

#1. Omos could return to align himself with Shinsuke Nakamura

Omos is one of the most intimidating pro wrestlers today. He is a legitimate monster, standing over seven feet tall and weighing in at an excess of 400 pounds. No WWE star matches Omos' massive size.

The Nigerian Giant has recently resurfaced after being away for quite some time, but not on WWE television. Instead, he debuted in Pro Wrestling NOAH and quickly won tag team gold while representing World Wrestling Entertainment.

Now that he's back in the public eye, he could also show up on SmackDown. Omos may appear during the United States Championship match and shockingly help Shinsuke Nakamura win. From there, the two could be aligned and say they formed a bond while in Pro Wrestling NOAH together recently.
