1st ever Elimination Chamber was held at Survivor Series 2002

On this day in 2002, a new era in WWE began as the first ever Elimination Chamber match took place at Survivor Series. In the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Kane, Chris Jericho and Booker T stepped inside the chamber with the Game's World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Shawn Michaels came out on top in the end by pinning Triple H after a sweet chin music to become the World Heavyweight Champion. This was Michael's first World Title victory after 4 years and would eventually turn out to be his last.
