Brock Lesnar had become a force to reckon with in the world of professional wrestling. He had defeated almost every top superstar in WWE over the years. His impressive list of victims includes The Rock, Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Goldberg among others.
He broke the most prestigious WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker. He squashed John Cena and pinned him in the center of the ring after sixteen german suplexes. Randy Orton required ten staples after getting his head busted open by him during 2016 SummerSlam in a humiliating defeat.
As of now, The Beast Incarnate has held the universal championship for a combined 587+ days. Others who held the same title never quite came close to him in terms of the days they held it. When compared to Lesnar, Finn Balor had held the title for just one day and only once. He was unfortunately asked to vacate the championship after a shoulder injury he sustained during SummerSlam. Since then he had been in WWE without a direction.
However, things are changing for the first ever former universal champion at the road to WrestleMania. He got a huge endorsement from John Cena after pinning him in a fatal 4 way no.1 Contenders match for the Universal title which also included Mcintyre and Corbin.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
He will be facing Lesnar at the Royal Rumble which is on 27th Jan 2019. He would clearly have it in his mind that if he is able to defeat Lesnar he will become a great deal in WWE.
Everything is going Balor's way right now and his match with Lesnar could be a passing of the torch. But should it really happen now at the Royal Rumble at 27 Jan 2019?
Brock Lesnar's current universal title reign feels like an eternity as he rarely appears. It never seems to end.
It would make wonders for anyone who ends the reign so such a moment should happen in a grand stage like WrestleMania. Balor using his alter ego 'demon king' against Lesnar at Wrestlemania would be great for the gimmick. Also if he wins at royal rumble it is not going to do him wonders that a WrestleMania victory would.
Eventually, Brock Lesnar would be defeated in what would be a passing of the torch moment but that should be a great launching pad for a star who can hold the show for years to come. Finn Balor as the demon king should do what even The Undertaker had not done at the grandest stage of them all by defeating Lesnar.
The Current WWE needs a Superstar who could strike fear in the heart of any given opponent. Taker had done it with his streak and unique personality, Lesnar had done it with his dominance. Balor can do it with his unique alter ego 'The Demon King'.
