Opinion : The Revival should not lose the RAW tag team titles at WWE Fastlane 2019

This Sunday at WWE Fastlane, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, aka The Revival will put their RAW tag team championships on the line against the newly formed tag team of Aleister Black and Ricochet and the former RAW tag team champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable.

The Revival won the tag team championships one week before the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view when they finally defeated the then champions Roode and Gable. However, their tag team reign has not been impressive thus far.

They have lost matches to the tag teams from NXT and for no reasons why the WWE Creative has continued to push these tag teams on the blue brand as well. As the red brand's tag team division is comparatively thinner, the team of Black and Ricochet have made it to the main card of their first ever main roster pay-per-view.

If we look at the ways this match can end, there can neither be a disqualification nor a count-out, as in a triple threat match we are always guaranteed a clean winner. So, either of the three teams can walk out with the belts from this match.

If Bobby Roode and Chad Gable win the match, it will lead us to another poor run of matches on RAW. Their first reign was very confusing as whenever they defended their championships, they always retained it in a bizarre manner.

It would be better if WWE decides to split this team by turning Bobby Roode heel as soon as possible. Roode and Gable can have an emphatic feud which would help both the superstars in the future.

Looking at the next possibility, if the tag team of the NXT call-ups wins the championships, it may keep them exclusive to one brand only. Taking the RAW tag team titles to RAW makes no sense.

This means that this will limit their talent to one brand only. On the other side, this will put an abrupt end to the reign of Revival, who will defend the titles for the first time on a pay-per-view.

Also, if the team of Ricochet and Black lose, it may not hurt their on-screen characters as much as it will hurt the characters of Dash and Dawson. If the Revival retain the tag team titles, it will give them an opportunity to establish themselves as the premier tag team of the division and they can even have a fantastic WrestleMania feud with AOP or even the team of Black and Ricochet.

The future looks good if the Revival manages to retain the championships at Fastlane and thus, they must not lose their titles just a few weeks before WWE's grandest pay-per-view.
