Paige gives credit to Triple H for the Divas Revolution, praises Sasha banks and more

Paige thinks Triple H is the main reason for the Divas success especially at NXT

In a recent radio interview, WWE Diva Paige answered various questions on the Divas Revolution and Triple H’s hand in it, the current Divas and Tough Enough among other topics. Below are the highlights from the interview:

The Divas Revolution and Triple H’s influence on it

Paige thinks that Triple H has done a commendable job in coming in and taking the FCW brand to a whole new level and making it NXT and the huge brand it is today. She says it's mind blowing that NXT which had humble beginnings has sold out a 15,000 strong arena in Brooklyn and thinks it is all because of him. She says she is extremely thankful to him for giving the Divas a chance and says that he always wanted the Divas to be a huge success.

“He really did give the Divas a chance in NXT – like me and Emma, the first network show that we did – he really gave us a chance on there and it just progressed. He killed it. He knocked it out of the park with it. We’re all extremely thankful for the opportunity that he gave every single one of us.” says Paige.

On the most promising young Diva in the WWE

According to Paige, she views Sasha banks as the most promising even though she is on the opposing team as she has the complete package. Paige says, “she can promo, she can wrestle, she looks good … she definitely shows the most, I think.”

Whether she thinks the remaining two Divas on Tough Enough can make it big in the NXT the main roster

Although Paige says she likes Sara Lee, in her opinion Amanda is the one who can really break out as a top Diva as she thinks she has the complete package. She states that she isn’t being biased and likes both of them, although everyone thinks she picks on Lee, she is brutally honest with both of them.

Adding to the reasons why Amanda is a more viable option, “she says she can talk, she’s really starting to get things in the ring, and she’s really embracing that heel role that she’s got going on. She really doesn’t care what people think of her and that’s cool to me, I like that, she doesn’t care about being liked or not.” She added that she likes the way Amanda takes control in the ring which is evident by her match with Sara.

On the Winners of Tough Enough and their transition to the main roster

“It’s definitely going to be a hard transition for them because they’re going to have to start working extra hard … especially because there are a lot of people on NXT that have worked their whole lives to get where they are. To be honest with you, they DO work hard, but they’re doing it on a reality show and then they get handed the contract at the end of the day. I can see a few jealous people [in NXT] but everyone is cool and cordial and they’ll be fine.” says Paige.
