2024 has been a great year for WWE so far. Aside from quality wrestling and action-packed encounters, fans have witnessed some interesting storylines this year, be it The Bloodline saga or The Judgment Day's implosion.
Most of WWE's Premium Live Events have been huge commercial successes, and Triple H, who is in charge of the company's creative department, deserves a lot of credit for this. Overall, it has been an eventful nine months for the company. Fans should expect more of the same in the last quarter of the year.
On that note, here are four bold predictions for the Stamford-based promotion for the rest of 2024.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#4. Cody Rhodes could turn heel
There have been murmurs of Cody Rhodes undergoing a massive character change ever since he expressed his desire to turn heel in an earlier interview. However, that has not happened yet.
That said, things may finally change in the coming days as The American Nightmare could embrace the dark side and turn heel in WWE. The company could pull the trigger on Rhodes' rumored heel turn at Bad Blood, having him turn to betray Roman Reigns, leading to a third clash between the duo.
#3. The Bloodline could cost Jey Uso his title
Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker on the latest episode of RAW to become the new Intercontinental Champion. However, given that he is expected to return to get involved in The Bloodline saga shortly, Main Event Jey's title reign may not last too long.
The creative team could have The Bloodline cost Jey his title in the coming weeks. This potential angle could result in 'Main Event' Jey jumping ship to SmackDown and reuniting with Roman Reigns to fight the Solo Sikoa-led faction.
#2. Kevin Owens could quit WWE and join AEW
Kevin Owens' WWE contract will reportedly expire soon. However, The Prizefighter has yet to sign a new deal with the company. This has led to the speculations of the 40-year-old jumping ship to AEW.
There have been murmurs of Tony Khan being interested in signing Owens. If KO doesn't come to terms with the Stamford-based promotion, fans could see The Prizefighter quitting the company, only to join Tony Khan's promotion this year.
#1. Paul Heyman could betray Roman Reigns for The Rock
Paul Heyman, The Wiseman and special counsel to Roman Reigns, has been one of the closest allies of the OTC. However, their successful partnership may be over as the Hall of Famer is rumored to return with a new client, possibly The Rock.
If those rumors are indeed true, Heyman could return and betray Roman Reigns for not coming to his aid while he was tormented by The Bloodline before introducing his new client, The Rock. This potential angle could then lay down the breadcrumbs for a massive match between the Original Tribal Chief and The Final Boss.
