WWE Royal Rumble 2025 will kickstart multiple new feuds, and that could be how Logan Paul meets his next opponent. In the last three years, he has feuded with top stars on the Road to WrestleMania, and that trend might continue this year, too.
The Maverick has been on hiatus from in-ring action since losing the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2024. Now that he's back and officially a RAW Superstar, it's very likely that he will angle for a big match at WrestleMania 41, and a Royal Rumble win might guarantee just that.
But even if Logan Paul doesn't win the 30-man match, he could still book his next feud before the night is done. Here are five WWE Superstars whom Paul could rub the wrong way at the upcoming PLE.
#5. Current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther
Meet John Cena's dad HERE
Right after Adam Pearce announced Logan Paul as a RAW Superstar, The Maverick made it clear that it was his goal to become the World Champion in WWE.
Now, there are currently two World Champions on the main roster. Paul already had a crack at the Undisputed WWE Championship in 2024, so his next move might be to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. That could put him on a collision course with Gunther. Interestingly, this showdown has reportedly been pitched for WrestleMania 41.
Despite both stars being heels, Logan Paul vs. Gunther could be a riveting program. Gunther's love for the sport of wrestling clashing with The Prime co-founder's main focus being on boosting his resume via select spectacle bouts could be the story. Therefore, fans shouldn't rule out the possibility of a backstage confrontation between the two at Royal Rumble 2025 to kickstart this feud.
#4. Sami Zayn
Logan Paul signed with WWE in 2022, but he had started to get involved in the storylines a year prior to that. He was part of the Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens program on the Road to WrestleMania 37.
Then, after officially becoming a WWE Superstar and settling his differences with The Miz, Paul jumped into a feud with The Bloodline, which led to the social media megastar and The Honorary Uce crossing paths again. Despite these interactions, they've yet to have a one-on-one match, which might change this year.
With this year's Elimination Chamber PLE taking place in Canada, Sami Zayn might make it his mission to silence the IMPAULSIVE host to the delight of his hometown crowd. If that is the direction WWE goes with, Royal Rumble 2025 would be the ideal event to launch this feud.
#3. Jacob Fatu
History is proof that numerous generational rivalries spawned from unexpected interactions between stars in Royal Rumble matches. In fact, seeds for Logan Paul's feuds with Seth Rollins and Ricochet in 2023 were planted in that year's men's Rumble match.
So, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to predict that in this year's match, the former United States Champion would encounter one of WWE's fastest-rising stars, Jacob Fatu. Logan Paul himself has expressed interest in the idea of this exciting match-up.
While WrestleMania 41 would be the ideal PLE for the aforementioned bout, WWE could build any event around this compelling clash. As long as this rivalry gets teased at the Rumble, fans will be assured about the match being in the works.
#2. 2x WWE Champion AJ Styles
So far in his tremendous WWE run, Logan Paul has squared off against multiple top stars. From Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, the 29-year-old has given plenty of household names a run for their money.
AJ Styles is among the few main event players from the last decade with whom The Maverick hasn't shared the ring yet. If The Phenomenal One is able to get cleared for in-ring action before Royal Rumble, the 30-man bout could be where he finally gets on the wrong side of Mr. Steal Yo Finish.
The story of AJ Styles, who rose to prominence as an aerial sensation, struggling to keep up with Paul's speed and aerial offense would be an emotional one. Furthermore, given both stars' outputs in their recent performances, it's safe to assume that their potential match would be nothing short of a 'banger.'
#1. 16x World Champion John Cena
John Cena's farewell tour has officially commenced, and he has already announced his entry into the upcoming men's Royal Rumble match. The Rumble could be where one of Cena's most viral feuds this year might begin... against Logan Paul.
Paul has been vocal about the Peacemaker star being one of his dream opponents. However, with both of them working part-time until last year, the company wasn't able to develop a feud between them. But now that John Cena has made WWE his top priority this year, he might end up breaking the internet by finally wrestling The Maverick at some point.
There's a strong possibility that their potential rivalry could be set in motion at the Royal Rumble. Because if the rumors of Paul fighting Conor McGregor later this year are true, he would be taking considerable time off and might not be back until Cena has retired. So, WWE should consider fast-tracking this dream match.
