According to Philly.com, the main reason why Santa Clara won the race to host WrestleMania 31 instead of Philadelphia is because Levi’s stadium hosting the Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
The site added that the WWE didn’t want to follow the Super Bowl in the Levi’s stadium within the same year.
Meanwhile, the press conference of WrestleMania 31 will be held tomorrow in Santa Clara, California and Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews, San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York, Vernon Davis of the 49ers, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, John Cena, Alberto Del Rio are confirmed to attend the event.
