SmackDown GM Nick Aldis has been quite busy lately with The Bloodline storyline taking its full shape and also features the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Aldis will need to deal with another superstar, Giovanni Vinci.

Vinci made his debut on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, appearing on the show for the first time since his move to the blue brand in April. However, his debut match was quite disappointing, as he lost to Apollo Crews in less than 10 seconds. Fans should expect to see the former Imperium member try to get back on track, asking Nick Aldis to schedule a rematch with Apollo Crews.

The star has a lot to prove after his move to SmackDown. He was demolished and kicked out of Imperium. He then moved to the blue brand and was once again humiliated by Crews. The only way for the Italian star to resurrect his WWE career would be. He could put his SmackDown career on the line and try to raise the stakes by requesting a title shot from the SmackDown GM. Vinci could aim to become the Number one contender for LA Knight's United States Championship.

Knight will put his title on the line against Andrade this Friday, thus it would make sense for Giovanni Vinci to emerge as the next challenger. He could either attack the star following the match or make sure the bout ends in a No Contest by interfering and taking out both superstars.

The possibilities are endless if Vinci really wants to make a mark on the blue brand's roster and prove himself to be a dastardly heel.

Giovanni Vinci addresses loss to Apollo Crews in SmackDown debut

Giovanni Vinci came up short in his debut match on SmackDown and was furious afterward. The Italian star called out Apollo Crews and the referee, setting the stage for a rematch.

"Don’t even ask the question. I’ve got a question for you. When is the last time you’ve seen a match start without the referee checking both competitors if they’re ready? Yeah, I haven’t seen it either. So if Apollo wants to come up from behind, when clearly I still have half my entrance gear on, and roll me up, he wants to play that way? Alright. We can play that way. We can play that way," he said after his loss.

Giovanni Vinci wasn't the only one that was left disappointed. Fans were also left flabbergasted as to how the match panned out. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former Imperium member.
