Popular star to set foot in a WWE ring after nearly 8 years? Analyzing the possibility

WWE has witnessed a number of returns this year

WWE is gearing up for two mega events in November - Crown Jewel and Survivor Series. With the former barely a couple of weeks away, the match card buildup has been intense.

Next week's edition of RAW is a day before Halloween, and WWE has already taken advantage of the timing to its fullest. NXT kicked off week one of Halloween Havoc with a new Women's Champion and Tag Team Champions being crowned. Additionally, it is not unusual for WWE to bring back terrifying gimmicks pertaining to the spooky occasion.

One of the most terrifying gimmicks in the company is The Boogeyman (real name Martin Wright). He paints his face red and black, holding a huge clock in one hand, and a handful of worms in the other. He then proceeds to eat the worms, much to everyone's disgust and horror. The 59-year-old was announced to appear on next week's edition of talk show The Bump, featuring Shotzi and Scarlett Bordeaux.

The last time The Boogeyman competed in WWE was at the Royal Rumble in 2015. He entered at #7, coming face to face with the late Bray Wyatt, who eventually eliminated him. Later, it was reported that Wright had signed a legends contract with WWE, and continued to make sporadic appearances.

The 59-year-old could return to the ring for a brief match on RAW to spook the talents, and even confront The Judgment Day, given their dark, mysterious brooding personas.

Martin Wright competes in a few local promotions now and then. In January 2021, he appeared in a RAW segment, scaring Angel Garza and enabling R-Truth to win the 24/7 Championship.

WWE has undergone quite a few prominent changes since the merger

Ever since it was reported that WWE was going to be merged with Endeavor earlier this year, it set off both a sense of panic and delight among the wrestling fraternity. Many feared Triple H would lose creative control.

The Game has elevated both brands to prestigious levels of competition. Most recently, he brought back the division of brands. He introduced Nick Aldis as the SmackDown General Manager, while Adam Pearce was confirmed as the RAW GM. A few weeks into their respective roles, and the two GMs have already clashed, possibly resulting in a classic Survivor Series face-off.

Crown Jewel will take place on November 4 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Roman Reigns will put up his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight, while Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley will be putting their titles on the line too.
