One has to be realistic when looking for good opponents for a wrestler who is hardly a year old in the WWE roster. Yes, Big E is a pretty talented wrestler who has the potential to be a future World Champion but that doesn’t mean WWE needs to push him to the top immediately.
Once Langston turns face, WWE needs to start putting him constructively into feuds that keep getting better and challenging for him. The best way to start this would be by pitting him against Wade Barrett. Both wrestlers are on the lookout for something to keep their time invested and a feud between them could workout well.
Though Barrett might end up on the losing side, a few good matches with Big E and strongly-cut promos can help him being put over as a decent heel in the roster.
