Paul Heyman has been absent from WWE television since the June 28 episode of SmackDown. The Hall of Famer was attacked by The Bloodline and powerbombed through the announce table after refusing to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief.
Heyman served as The Wiseman of The Bloodline for Roman Reigns' historic title reign, but the faction betrayed him earlier this year. Roman Reigns attempted to call Paul Heyman during this past Friday's edition of SmackDown, but his phone was disconnected.
Listed below are four theories about Heyman's recent WWE absence.
#4. WWE faction The Wyatt Sicks could have kidnapped Paul Heyman
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The Wyatt Sicks are a mysterious faction on WWE RAW who are currently in a rivalry with The Final Testament and The Miz. The group recently kidnapped The Miz but returned The A-Lister safely after he apologized to them. However, it was a trap set by The Miz, and he beat down the faction alongside The Final Testament last Monday night.
Uncle Howdy's faction may have realized that they needed some guidance, and there was nobody better out there to lead them than Paul Heyman. The group could have decided to kidnap Heyman and force him to become their new leader.
#3. Heyman could be working on bringing Brock Lesnar back to the company
Before becoming The Wiseman of The Bloodline, Paul Heyman served as the advocate for Brock Lesnar. However, The Beast Incarnate has been absent from WWE television as of late and has not competed in a match since his loss to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.
Heyman could be attempting to reunite with his client during his time away from the company. The legend could have simply changed his telephone number during his hiatus and may be planning to return to the company alongside Lesnar down the line.
#2. Paul Heyman may have decided to align with The Rock
The Rock teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania XL. The Tribal Chief went on to lose the Undisputed WWE Championship to Rhodes during Night 2, and it was the last time Heyman and Reigns were seen together.
The Final Boss made a surprising appearance at the end of Bad Blood last month and stared at Rhodes and Reigns in the ring. Paul Heyman may have lost faith in Reigns following his loss to The American Nightmare at The Show of Shows and could return as The Great One's manager in the months ahead.
#1. Heyman may not have forgiven Reigns
Roman Reigns attempted to contact Paul Heyman at the conclusion of this past Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, but the legend's phone was disconnected. Reigns appeared to be distraught at the end of SmackDown as he was unable to find a fifth member for their WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series.
If that was the first time Reigns tried to call Heyman since WrestleMania, the 59-year-old likely holds a grudge against The Head of the Table. Heyman was left alone to deal with Solo Sikoa and his rampant changes to The Bloodline and may resent Reigns for not reaching out to him much sooner.
