In the past, some of the best NXT feuds have been seen between a tag team who have turned into rivals. Tommaso Ciampa himself is guilty of such a feud, as he turned on his old tag team partner Johnny Gargano.

The two superstars were bitter rivals when they faced each other in a feud previously, but when they teamed up, they were even more powerful. Their combined forces turned out to be just what they needed to reach the level that they sorely needed.

The Grizzled Young Veterans made their presence felt with a critically timed interference. They attacked Ciampa and Thatcher, leading to Legado del Fantasma taking advantage to win the match.

With this win, they will now be able to stake their claim for the WWE NXT Tag Team titles in the future, if they can keep going.
