In a surprising move hours before Monday Night RAW, Samantha Irvin stepped down from her role as ring announcer on the red brand and parted ways with WWE. Irvin thanked everyone she worked with during her time in the Stamford-based promotion and hinted at her next move.

"I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me. To my fans, my entire career I've been waiting for you! We are meant to be and I can prove it. Stay tuned," Samantha Irvin posted on her social media accounts.

Samantha Irvin joined WWE in 2021 and spent almost four years as a ring announcer on NXT, RAW, and SmackDown, as well as WWE Premium Live Events, like WrestleMania 40.

With that in mind, who could replace her on the red brand? We take a look at three candidates.

#3. JoJo

JoJo joined WWE in 2013 and spent eight years as a wrestler and ring announcer. After a few singles and tag team matches, she moved to a ring announcer role on NXT and the main roster, like Samantha Irvin.

She kept that role through 2018 and remained under contract with WWE until 2021 before leaving. She was engaged to the late Bray Wyatt, who passed away in August 2023 at the age of 36.

Given her experience as a ring announcer, she could be the perfect replacement for Samantha Irvin.

#2. Brandi Rhodes

Brandi Rhodes, the wife of the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, signed with WWE in 2011. After a short stint, which lasted a few months, she left the company only to return in 2013.

From 2013 to 2016, she became the ring announcer on NXT, SmackDown, and Premium Live Events, while she temporarily replaced Lilian Garcia as the RAW ring announcer back in 2015, as the latter was recovering from surgery.

She left the company in May 2016, when her husband also parted ways with WWE. Brandi Rhodes made a surprise appearance next to Cody Rhodes on Night Two of WrestleMania 40, and it is likely that she will return to WWE after almost nine years.

#1. Lilian Garcia could replace Samantha Irvin

Lilian Garcia has been an iconic voice in WWE. She was the ring announcer from August 23, 1999, to September 21, 2009. She then left for a couple of years before coming back for another five-year stint (2011-2016). She then made sporadic appearances from July 2017 to July 2019.

She didn't appear again in WWE until May 13, 2024, when she was the special ring announcer on Monday Night RAW. Five months later, she replaced Samantha Irvin as ring announcer on the October 21 episode of the red brand, and recent reports suggest that she will return full-time as ring announcer on RAW, SmackDown, and WWE Premium Live Events.

Still, there is no official confirmation, but if Lilian Garcia is to replace Samantha permanently, WWE should make an official announcement soon.
