Matt Riddle is another recent NXT call-up in need of direction. After a promising WWE main roster debut where he pinned AJ Styles (during his Intercontinental Championship crowning ceremony), Matt Riddle's momentum seems to have fizzled out.

After a lengthy feud with King Corbin on SmackDown, Matt Riddle was moved to WWE RAW during the recent draft. As mentioned before, Matt Riddle and AJ Styles appear to be on a collision course.

Another prominent aspect of Survivor Series team matches is internal conflict among the teams. Having AJ Styles and Matt Riddle on RAW's team will undoubtedly lead to some tense moments when they are forced to team up.

According to reports, Vince McMahon is currently high on Matt Riddle because he reminds the WWE boss of a young Shawn Micheals. This bodes well for RAW's new recruit and he could definitely land a spot in their Survivor Series team.

Matt Riddle represented Team NXT during last year's Survivor Series. He made quite an impact by eliminating Randy Orton before quickly getting pinned by King Corbin.

Watching Matt Riddle square off against some of his old rivals from NXT and relive his best feuds from the Black and Gold brand will surely be a sight to see.

One name conspicuous by his absence is The Fiend. One of the most prominent Superstars in WWE, featuring The Fiend on a Survivor Series team may do more harm than good. Allying with other Superstars for brand supremecy would undermine the eerie, supernatural aura surrounding the host of the Firefly Fun House.
