After having a fairytale WrestleMania moment to capture the only title eluding him over the years, the current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, unfortunately, hasn't had a very memorable reign.

Though he still is a fan favorite, his reign as the champion hasn't gone well with many. Be it the continuous involvement of the New Day, or him throwing pancakes during his entrance, he still is missing that one major feud that could cement his reign as the WWE champion.
His match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam could be exactly what he needs as the two have a long history against each other. A perfect heel like the Viper will nicely compliment a top babyface, and a win over him would solidify Kofi's reign. It's great to see Big E and Xavier Woods not included in the feud as this portrays Kofi as a solid singles wrestler.
Storyline wise, a victory for Orton does not make any sense here, so it looks all but certain that Kofi will be walking out of SummerSlam still the WWE Champion. It would be a huge shock if Vince lets Orton walkout as a 14-time champion.
