WWE Superstar Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn to become the new Intercontinental Champion at SummerSlam. This was his first title win since joining the main roster.
During this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, Breakker faced Sami Zayn in a rematch of their SummerSlam bout. He successfully retained his title by defeating Zayn in a two-out-of-three falls match.
Bron has had an impressive start to his title reign, and it will be interesting to see who could possibly dethrone him. Here are the predictions for who might become the next four Intercontinental Champions after Bron Breakker.
#4. Sheamus
Bron Breakker has been incredibly dominant since getting drafted to Monday Night RAW earlier this year. It seems likely that he'll hold onto the Intercontinental Championship for a while.
However, there's one ideal candidate who could dethrone the former NXT Champion: Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior has been chasing the Intercontinental Championship for the last couple of years. It's the only title he has never won in WWE.
Given his determination, winning the title from Bron Breakker, possibly at WrestleMania 41 could be the perfect scenario. This would also allow Bron to move on to bigger things after the loss.
#3. Ilja Dragunov
Ilja Dragunov, like Bron Breakker, was drafted to Monday Night RAW earlier this year and has delivered some impressive performances. WWE needs to capitalize on the talents of The Mad Dragon.
He has already contested for the Intercontinental Championship, and all indications suggest that he will remain in the title picture over the next year. Defeating someone like Sheamus to become the new Intercontinental Champion would be a significant achievement for Dragunov, helping him establish himself as a main-event threat in WWE.
#2. Chad Gable
Chad Gable has been delivering some of his best work since turning heel earlier this year. He came very close to winning the Intercontinental Championship in his battles against Gunther and Sami Zayn.
Although Gable is currently involved in a feud with The Wyatt Sicks, he should soon return to pursuing the IC Title. A potential matchup between Ilja Dragunov and Chad Gable promises to be a high-quality, hard-hitting contest, which could result in Gable winning his first-ever singles title in WWE.
#1. John Cena to become a Grand Slam Champion in WWE
At Money in the Bank a few months ago, John Cena announced that 2025 would be his final year as an in-ring competitor. The Greatest of All Time has accomplished everything there is to do in the business.
He's a 16-time World Champion, United States Champion, Tag Team Champion, Money in the Bank winner, Royal Rumble winner, and multiple-time WrestleMania main-eventer. However, one title has eluded John Cena throughout his illustrious career - the Intercontinental Championship.
Winning the IC Title during his final run would be an iconic moment, cementing his legacy as a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.
