This match was the result of Vince McMahon abusing his power and stripping a deserving Kofi Kingston of his shot at the title. Kofi was awarded the match by Shane McMahon after his back to back incredible performances in the gauntlet match and Elimination Chamber.

Vince came in at the last moment to ruin everything for Kofi by gifting the shot to a returning Kevin Owens, just like he did with Charlotte and Becky on Raw. It's clear where this storyline is going from here. Bryan will pin Owens to retain his belt, most certainly after a New Day interference.

The New Day has promised that they will be at the PPV, and this is definitely a sign of things to come during the final moments of Bryan vs Owens. After the PPV, a month-long build can start that will end in a triple threat match at WrestleMania, with Kofi finally winning the big one.
Winner: Daniel Bryan

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback.
