The Mexican Sensation, El Ligero, is set to make a huge impact in NXT UK

One of the legends of the UK independent scene, El Ligero made his debut in the year 2002 and has wrestled for over 100 promotions all over the world. Ligero has worked for promotions like Defiant Wrestling, Progress, and 4 Front Wrestling just to name a few.

While he portrays the character of a Mexican Luchador with the name meaning the Light, Ligero is a British Wrestler born and raised in Leeds, England but is billed from Los Sanchos, Mexico.

After being so successful in independent and winning numerous Championships and accolades, the Mexican Sensation finally made his way to the WWE for the second edition of the United Kingdom Championship Tournament earlier this year, where he was eliminated in the first round after losing to eventual finalist, Travis Banks. Ligero hereafter announced that he had officially signed with NXT UK.

Like Gibson, El Ligero is going to be a major part of the NXT UK programming. With the kind of experience and pedigree that he has and the kind of popularity that he enjoys among the fans in the UK, we are pretty sure that Triple H & Co. has big plans for the Luchador which will finally culminate in Ligero winning the WWE United Kingdom Championship.
