The Elimination Chamber Pay Per View brings us one step closer to WrestleMania 35. The PPV will take place on 17 February inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.
The current card of the PPV is a strange one as some important and prestigious championships like the SmackDown Women's Championship, the United States Championship and the Universal Championship will not be defended on the PPV.
WWE can still make this event a success if they properly book the other matches. The show boasts a number of guaranteed spectacular clashes like the matches for the Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Championship.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The centre of attraction of this PPV will definitely be the newly announced Women's Tag Team Titles and we can be sure that the match for the titles will be a grueling and an amazing one.
We will see a lot of development in different storylines after the PPV. Some new rivalries will be created and some old ones will continue.
Without further ado, let's dive into the predictions.
#7 Buddy Murphy vs Akira Tozawa (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
This match will most probably be on the kickoff show which is really saddening as the superstars of the cruiserweight division have been creating spectacular matches every week and the title which represents the division deserves to be defended on the main show.
Buddy Murphy will defend his championship against Akira Tozawa at Elimination Chamber. Tozawa earned the opportunity to face Murphy by winning a fatal four-way match on a recent episode of 205 Live.
Murphy will most probably retain the title as his current run as the champion is quite spectacular and this match will help him to further solidify his title reign.
Also, he deserves to walk in Wrestlemania as the Cruiserweight Champion.
Prediction: Buddy Murphy retains the Cruiserweight Championship
#6 Nia Jax & Tamina vs. Riott Squad vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. The IIconics vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Naomi & Carmella (Elimination Chamber) - Women's Tag Team Championship
History will be created at the Elimination Chamber as we will crown the first ever Women's Tag Team Champions. Six teams will compete in the Elimination Chamber for the tag titles.
The clear favourites to win this match are Sasha Banks and Bayley. The Boss N’ Hug Connection announced their dream of becoming the first ever Women's Tag Champs on a segment on Raw and the two of them are the most deserving superstars to win the titles.
Bayley and Sasha Banks have created spectacular matches as a tag team on the main roster and they have better chemistry than most of the teams involved in the match.
Just think of the matches that they can have with other teams for the tag championships, they can also face some veterans like the Bella Twins.
The fans would also love to see The Boss N' Hug Connection walk-out of Elimination Chamber as the Tag Champions.
Prediction- Sasha Banks and Bayley become the Inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions
#5 Bobby Lashley (c) & Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor (Intercontinental Championship)
The Intercontinental Match has now been converted into a handicap match and with the entry of Lio Rush in this match, the landscape of this match has totally changed.
Most of us will think that with Rush on his side, Lashley has a much better chance to retain the title but the entry of Rush could affect Lashley negatively and it could even cause Lashley to lose the Intercontinental Title.
WWE wants to book both Lashley and Balor strongly so how will they protect both of them in this match? The answer is simple that Lio Rush will take the pin.
With Rush taking the pin, the credibility of Lashley will not be affected and at the same time, Balor will become the Intercontinental Champion. This could result in Lashley turning on Lio (but I hope that he does not) and then WWE could build a rivalry between Rush and Lashley.
Prediction: Balor wins the Intercontinental Championship by pinning Lio Rush
#4 The Miz & Shane McMahon (c) vs. The Usos (SmackDown Tag Team Championship)
The team of The Miz and Shane McMahon became the SmackDown's Tag Champions by defeating The Bar at the Royal Rumble.
Two days after the Rumble, we found out that The Usos will challenge 'The Best Tag Team In The World' for the tag titles.
The team of Shane O' Mac and the Miz is extraordinarily entertaining and they have brought freshness in the SmackDown Tag team division which was earlier confined to the repetitive matches between The Bar, The Usos and The New Day.
'The Best Tag Team in The World' will most probably retain the titles as their reign as champions have just begun and they will not drop the titles anytime soon and certainly not until WrestleMania 35.
But they will definitely not have an easy victory against the Usos as the Usos will definitely take Shane and Miz to their limits.
Prediction: Shane and Miz retain the Tag Titles
#3 Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Ruby Riott (Raw Women's Championship)
Rousey will be defending her championship against Ruby Riott at Elimination Chamber. Even though Riott defeated Nikki Cross on the go-home episode of Raw, she really doesn't stand a chance to beat Rousey.
Rousey is the clear favourite to win the match, as we all know that WWE is planning a match between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'.
The match is highly predictable, and that is why there is really less excitement around this match.
But nonetheless, this match will definitely be a great match as both of the superstars have extraordinary in-ring skills and will definitely create a commendable match.
But Rousey will have to be alert all the time as The Man or The Queen can interfere in this match and cause some problems for Rousey. But still, Rousey will come out on top.
Prediction- Ronda Rousey retains the Raw Women's Championship
#2 Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin
Corbin has been a thorn in Strowman's way for a long time, due to him Strowman was fined $100,000 and he also lost his opportunity to face Lesnar for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble.
Strowman has sheer anger for the former interim General Manager of Raw - Baron Corbin and he will definitely be looking for revenge.
My prediction is that Strowman would decimate Corbin at Elimination Chamber. There is no way that Corbin will be winning this match.
We will most probably also see some interference from Drew McIntyre and that will lead to Kurt Angle coming out and helping Strowman against Corbin and McIntyre.
After the match, McIntyre could attack Strowman that will plant the seeds for a rivalry between them.
The rivalry between the two monsters will definitely be an intriguing and entertaining one.
Prediction: Braun Strowman defeats Baron Corbin
#1 Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston (Elimination Chamber) - WWE Championship
This week it was announced that Kofi Kingston will be replacing Mustafa Ali in the match as has suffered an injury and is not cleared to compete.
A gauntlet match was conducted between the participants of this match and the winner of that match would be the last one to enter the chamber.
Randy Orton won the match and therefore he will be the last man to enter the elimination chamber.
The odds are against the WWE Champion but I think that Bryan would most probably retain the title as his current gimmick as the Planet's Champion is extremely entertaining and it does not look like that Bryan would lose the title before Wrestlemania 35.
