Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have faced each other at the past 3 NXT Takeovers. While this rivalry has been going on for a while, it certainly hasn't gotten stale. Because of the fact that Tommaso Ciampa cheaply escaped with a victory at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4, there is no way that this rivalry is over.

The only way that this rivalry can end is with Johnny Gargano making Tommaso Ciampa tap out in the middle of the ring with the Gargano Escape to win the NXT Title. Johnny Gargano will defeat Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover: War Games 2. Tommaso Ciampa will then be called up to the main roster. Johnny Gargano can then have matches with the likes of Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, and Adam Cole.
