AJ Styles has been WWE Champion since last November. He has successfully defended his title against the likes of Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura, & Rusev. He is currently set to face Samoa Joe at both Hell in a Cell and WWE Super Showdown. AJ Styles will probably retain the title twice. The Miz will then defeat Daniel Bryan at the Super Showdown to become #1 Contender.

The Miz will then defeat AJ Styles after Survivor Series to become WWE Champion. This will allow AJ Styles to take a break as Smackdown's top competitor (and possibly feud with Randy Orton). The Miz will also get a much-deserved spot as WWE Champion (he's deserved this since 2016). The Miz can then defend his title against the likes of Rusev, Jeff Hardy, & Daniel Bryan (at WrestleMania).
