Following a backstage altercation at the weekend that saw former WWE Superstar Big Cass reportedly get kicked out of a Wrestle Pro show following an incident with Joey Janela and SCU, the former NXT man has issued a heartbreaking statement about his current situation, via former tag team partner Enzo Amore.
In the statement, Cass states that he "let his demons get the better of him" and that he "ruined an important evening for a very great guy." Cass confirmed that he is working incredibly hard to overcome an ongoing battle with depression, stating that he is getting help from family and friends, and will be seeking professional help.
The former WWE Superstar apologized to Kevin Mathews, Pat Buck, Joey Janela, and the entire WrestlePro locker room, before stating that he will be taking time away and hints that may never re-emerge as a public figure.
Cass also takes inspiration from Tyson Fury in the statement - a world-famous boxer who has also suffered from depression - before posting an uplifting message. "Remember, I ain't dead yet. And neither are you."
