Fans nowadays grow tired of reigns that go over 3 months. Brock has been champion for 15 months.

Long reigns, when booked correctly can be awesome. Look at CM Punk's reign as WWE Champion for 434 days. He spent the first half of his reign as a face, having feuds with the likes of Chris Jericho and Danial Bryan. The latter half was spent as the top heel in the company, battling top babyfaces like John Cena and Ryback and ending it with a splendid program with The Rock.

Compare that with Brock's reign, and you do not even get a fourth of the number of matches that Punk had.
