R-Truth had entered the Royal Rumble 2016 match and right off the bat, instead of entering the ring, he took a ladder out. He would set the ladder and climb up and then reach up, only to find out that it wasn't in fact, a ladder match!
A funny thing to note is that Truth himself pitched this idea to Vince McMahon. On Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, R-Truth revealed that he texted Vince McMahon about the idea and Vince said "Sure" with laughing emojis. Vince McMahon using emojis, now that's something funny to think about!
