Randy Orton was set to compete in a grudge match at WWE Crown Jewel, but the bout quickly went off the rails. Orton squared off against Kevin Owens, but The Prizefighter brought a steel chair into the ring even before the match started. The referee ripped it away from Owens, and the former Universal Champion responded with a Stunner to the official.
The Legend Killer then lost his composure and hit RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with an RKO as the match was called off. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis scampered out of the ring to avoid an RKO from Orton at Crown Jewel as well.
Listed below are five ways Randy Orton can be punished following his actions at Crown Jewel.
A female WWE star said her life is in danger. Details HERE
#5. Nick Aldis could have no choice but to fire Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has been put in a very difficult position following Randy Orton's actions at Crown Jewel. The former NWA champion will likely have to discipline Kevin Owens as well after he attacked a referee during his bout against Orton.
Aldis may approach Orton backstage on this Friday's episode of SmackDown and note that his actions were unacceptable at Crown Jewel. If the veteran refuses to take accountability, Aldis could be left with no choice but to fire Orton on this week's SmackDown.
#4. Nick Aldis could issue a hefty fine to Orton
Randy Orton was supposed to have a match against Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel, but it devolved into a destructive brawl at the premium live event. The fans in Saudi Arabia were likely looking forward to watching a match between the two SmackDown stars but never got the opportunity due to Orton and Owens being unable to control themselves.
If Aldis approaches Orton on the blue brand, and The Viper expresses remorse for his actions, the SmackDown General Manager may decide that firing the 44-year-old is overkill as a punishment. Aldis could opt to issue Orton a hefty fine on SmackDown and instruct him to never put his hands on himself or Adam Pearce, as they are authority figures in the company.
#3. WWE could suspend Randy Orton for 30 days
Kevin Owens turned heel by attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking lot following WWE Bad Blood. The former champion followed it up with a backstage attack on Randy Orton last month on SmackDown, and it has led to a personal rivalry between the two stars.
WWE could opt to make an example out of both Kevin Owens and Randy Orton following their insubordination at Crown Jewel. The promotion may announce ahead of this Friday's episode of SmackDown that both stars have been suspended for 30 days for putting their hands on WWE officials at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia.
#2. Adam Pearce may send RAW stars to SmackDown to get revenge on Orton
Adam Pearce fell victim to an RKO at WWE Crown Jewel and could be out for revenge. The RAW General Manager could convince several stars on RAW to invade SmackDown this week to attack Orton.
The promotion is currently on the road to Survivor Series 2024, taking place on November 30. WWE may decide to use this storyline to help build the tension between the two brands ahead of Survivor Series at the end of the month in Vancouver.
#1. Triple H could side with Kevin Owens after growing tired of Orton's behavior
Triple H and Randy Orton had a conversation on the October 25 edition of SmackDown. The Game had no interest in making the match between Orton and Owens at Crown Jewel, but eventually gave in to The Apex Predator's demands. However, Triple H may have soured on Orton following his actions at Crown Jewel and could be planning on siding with Kevin Owens moving forward.
The King of Kings was responsible for Kevin Owens capturing the Universal Championship in 2016 and may want to reconnect with the 40-year-old. Triple H may elect to side with Owens moving forward and make life difficult for Randy Orton in the months ahead on SmackDown.
