WWE SmackDown will emanate live from the Allstate Arena in the Rosemont suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The show will host the next set of Money in the Bank qualifiers. Furthermore, hometown boy, CM Punk is scheduled to return to the blue brand on Friday night.
How would things pan out on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown? Here are three last-minute predictions for Friday's show:
#3. Randy Orton quits WWE SmackDown
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Randy Orton will lock horns with Carmelo Hayes and Tama Tonga in a Money in the Bank qualifying match on WWE SmackDown. Things may not turn out too well for The Viper as he may lose the all-important match.
If that is indeed the case, Orton could decide to quit SmackDown, only to join the red brand. The Apex Predator has some unfinished business with Gunther, given the controversial finish to their match at King and Queen of the Ring. Hence, he could potentially sign a deal with Adam Pearce to target The Ring General on the red brand.
#2. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair reclaim the Tag Team Title
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair dropped their Women's Tag Team Championship to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn at Clash at the Castle. The ending saw Isla pin Shayna Baszler to win the coveted gold.
However, given that neither Jade nor Bianca got pinned, the duo could challenge the current champions to a rematch on WWE SmackDown. If that is indeed the case, The Unholy Union may find it difficult to retain their titles. Cargill and Belair could go on to reclaim their title, much to the delight of WWE fans.
#1. Drew McIntyre attacks CM Punk
CM Punk will appear on tonight's episode of SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago. However, The Second City Saint could be annihilated by none other than Drew McIntyre.
The Scottish Psychopath succumbed to a loss against Damian Priest in his home country last week due to CM Punk's interference. Following that, he quit WWE on the latest episode of RAW. However, this angle is reportedly a work.
McIntyre could shockingly return to SmackDown and hit back at Punk for costing him a potential title win. The Scottish Psychopath could hand a brutal beating to The Second City Saint in front of his home fans.
