In two weeks, Gunther will defend his newly-won World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin. This marks the second time the two will clash one-on-one, following their previous encounter in the King of the Ring finals, which ended controversially.
Randy Orton aims to dethrone Gunther and capture his 15th World Championship in Berlin. Orton also has the chance to make history by becoming the first WWE star to win both the classic World Heavyweight Championship, which was active until 2014, and the new world title introduced last year.
None of the recent title holders like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, or Gunther have ever held the original World Heavyweight Championship.

Gunther called out Randy Orton for wasted potential
During their face-to-face confrontation on Monday Night RAW, Gunther didn't hold back in his assessment of Randy Orton's career. The Ring General acknowledged Orton as one of the greatest of all time, but in his opinion, The Apex Predator should have been the greatest, given his immense talents. Gunther expressed his belief that Orton had wasted a lot of his potential over the years.
Gunther declared that this is now his era, and there is no room for wasted potential in it. He made it clear that after he defeats Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin, there would be no role to play for the veteran in his era.
Gunther ramped up the mind games during his segment with Randy Orton on RAW. After accusing Orton of wasting his potential, Gunther escalated the tension by taking personal shots at Orton's family.
He called out Orton's grandfather, Bob Orton Sr., and his father, Cowboy Bob Orton, labeling them as screwups. Gunther then declared that Randy was the biggest screwup of them all.
The remarks clearly infuriated Orton, who didn't let the insults slide. In classic fashion, Orton got the last laugh by delivering a devastating RKO out of nowhere to The Ring General.
It remains to be seen how the rivalry between the two stars will intensify in the coming weeks.
