The last time Randy Orton was a heel in WWE was in April 2021. Since then, The Viper has been a babyface that has been loved by the WWE Universe. However, at the upcoming Crown Jewel PLE on November 2nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 16-time World Champion could again turn heel after 1,269 days.

On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Orton was attacked by his former tag team partner, Kevin Owens. This attack comes after The Prizefighter attacked Cody Rhodes outside the latter's tour bus at Bad Blood 2024. Owens brutally attacked Orton, and it took security to keep the Canadian away from him.

In the coming weeks, WWE can present an angle in which it could show Cody Rhodes continuing to build towards his Crown Jewel Championship match against Gunther. Further in the angle, the promotion could show The American Nightmare so focused on Gunther that he does not check up on Orton.

This entire angle could lead to Randy Orton making an appearance at Crown Jewel and delivering an RKO to the Undisputed WWE Champion. Orton could later reveal he took this step as Cody Rhodes, whom he considered a friend, never checked up on him after the attack by Kevin Owens.

While the angle is speculative, it will also be exciting due to the history between Orton and Rhodes. Also, the inclusion of Owens in this angle leaves the chance of a potential Triple Threat match, which would be a treat to watch.

WWE Superstar recently expressed a desire to face Randy Orton

If Randy Orton thought Kevin Owens was the only superstar coming after him, then he was wrong. Orton, who has built one of the most successful careers in professional wrestling, has another challenger in WWE who expressed his desire to face The Apex Predator.

The superstar who wants to challenge Orton is NXT North American Champion Oba Femi. During an appearance on the Going Ringside podcast, Femi was asked which superstar he would like to face once he gets a call to the main roster. Randy Orton is one of the four names Femi took.

The NXT Superstar said:

"Main roster, Randy, John Cena before he retires and leaves us alone. Gunther. Drew McIntyre."

On NXT, Oba Femi has impressed fans with his skills inside the ring and even on the mic. If the Nigerian professional wrestler is able to keep up this display going forward, it will only be a matter of time before he is called up to the main roster.
