Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes had a segment on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown where The Viper demanded an explanation from the Undisputed WWE Champion about teaming up with Roman Reigns. Both Rhodes and Orton had to endure severe punishment during the period when The O.T.C. was The Bloodline's leader. Therefore, it didn't quite sit well with The Legend Killer when The American Nightmare signed a tag team contract to team with Reigns.
The segment seemed to be an indication of The Apex Predator's potential future heel turn. It has been predicted by many for a while that Randy Orton will snap and turn heel to pursue the Undisputed WWE Championship. In fact, there was a phase when Kevin Owens was speculated to be the victim of the heel turn. However, recent reports indicated that the 14-time WWE champion might be going after another babyface, LA Knight!
As per WrestleVotes, there are rumors of Randy Orton vs. LA Knight happening in the future. Currently, The Megastar is the United States Champion. Keeping in mind that The Apex Predator might be eyeing gold, the wrestling juggernaut can book him for the US Championship and not the Undisputed WWE Championship, in a swerve to the WWE Universe. It serves the purpose and avoids having Orton turn heel on Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
"He's wanted. I can't say that he's wanted to; I know there's an interest in doing an LA Knight vs. Randy Orton program at some point."

Knight and Orton have never been in a singles match before. Additionally, both of them are popular with the fans, especially with Knight being one of the fastest-rising babyfaces in WWE history. While this is only speculation for now, if the Stamford-based promotion does go ahead with the feud, it will be interesting to watch how the story unfolds.
Randy Orton requested Cody Rhodes' help against The Bloodline
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens teamed up against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu on WWE SmackDown last week. While Rhodes tried to make it a six-man tag match, The Prizefighter reminded The American Nightmare that he would have the chance against The Bloodline at WWE Bad Blood.
It seems even KO isn't too happy with Rhodes for teaming up with the former Bloodline leader but has been keeping his frustrations to himself. Prior to the match on SmackDown, Owens asked Rhodes to not interfere in the match, but Randy Orton let The American Nightmare know that if they were outnumbered, the Undisputed WWE Champion should come out to help them.
During the match, The American Nightmare did come out to the ring to provide help when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa interfered, but the plan backfired. In the chaos, Cody Rhodes mistakenly took out the referee which infuriated Kevin Owens. The distraction also allowed Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu to pick up the win instead!
