It's been a while since Randy Orton has held a World Championship. The last time Orton held one was in 2020 when he was WWE Champion for 22 days. That was The Apex Predator's 14th World Title in WWE, and he is now on the hunt to win his next.
While Orton hasn't succeded in this hunt yet, the same could change at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event in October. At the PLE, Randy Orton could win his 15th World Championship in the Stamford-based promotion.
Damian Priest will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at SummerSlam next month. If The Ring General wins this match, Orton could demand to face the Austrian. For those unaware, Orton's King of the Ring final match against Gunther had a controversial ending.

WWE CCO and Creative Head, Triple H also acknowledged the controversy and spoke about running back the contest. Hence, if Gunther wins the title, it would be the perfect moment for Orton to ask for a rematch. A potential bout between The Viper and The King of the Ring at Bad Blood would do wonders for the PLE and the company.
Wrestling veteran says Randy Orton could turn heel against WWE legend
While Randy Orton is currently a face on WWE SmackDown, one must not forget that he is one of the best heels in professional wrestling. Orton has introduced his villainous side to the world on countless occasions and it has always been dangerous for his opponents.
As per wrestling veteran, Dutch Mantell, the WWE Universe could once again witness Orton turn heel against John Cena. During an episode of the Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, Mantell spoke about The Viper's heel turn and a possible victory for Cena.
"Oh, I would have him win...I think an opponent out of his past - Randy Orton. See and Orton could go out there and I'd love Orton to turn heel or say, 'Hey, I'm about sick and tired of this damn retirement crap,'" Mantell said. [24:10 - 24:37]

John Cena recently announced his retirement and that he was going to be on his Farewell Tour in 2025. And due to the history between him and Randy Orton, it would be nostalgic to see the duo share the ring again.
However, before he thinks about a match against Cena, Orton must address his problem with The Bloodline on SmackDown.
