It has been a while since Randy Orton last won a title in WWE. The last time he was a champion was 942 days ago. Orton won the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat match on March 7, 2022, alongside Matt Riddle. Their title reign lasted for 74 days, and The Viper has not won another title since then.

Coming off a serious back injury, Orton attempted to win a major title on RAW and SmackDown but came up short against Gunther (World Heavyweight Championship), Roman Reigns (Universal Championship), and Logan Paul (United States Championship), respectively.

Still, this could change this Friday on SmackDown, when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline will put their Tag Team titles on the line against The Street Profits and DIY in a Triple Threat Ladder Match.

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens could be added to the match, making it a Fatal Four-Way Match, thanks to some help from Cody Rhodes. On that occasion, the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion could speak to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and convince him to add KO and The Viper to the title match.

That way, The American Nightmare would show Orton and Owens that they are still friends and on the same page, despite Cody teaming up with Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu this Saturday at Bad Blood.

Last week, The Viper and KO confronted the reigning champion for his decision, given their history with Reigns and The Bloodline. Still, Cody's help could add them to the Ladder Match and help them become champions after so much time.

Randy Orton could go after LA Knight for the United States Championship at some point

It seems that the Tag Team Titles might not be the only title that Randy Orton would pursue. According to a report by WrestleVotes, WWE is considering having Orton go after LA Knight at some point in the future.

"I can't say that he's [LA Knight] wanted to, I know there's been interest in doing an LA Knight vs. Randy Orton programme at some point."

LA Knight and Randy Orton have never faced each other one-on-one in the ring. Thus, a feud between the two would make sense. For this to happen, it would need one of the two to have a heel turn since both are babyfaces at the moment.

Orton tried to become the United States Champion at WrestleMania 40 but lost to Logan Paul in a Triple Threat Match that also featured Kevin Owens. LA Knight was the one who eventually dethroned Logan Paul at SummerSlam.
