WWE is preparing for the next Premium Live Event, SummerSlam, and the match card for the Biggest Event of the Summer is almost complete. The major titles will be on the line and it remains to be seen whether the Men's and Women's Tag Team Titles will also be defended.
Reigning World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will take on King of the Ring Gunther, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will clash with Solo Sikoa, while Women's Champion Bayley will take on Queen of the Ring Nia Jax.
In addition, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan will face the returning Rhea Ripley, Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn will collide with Bron Breakker in a rematch from Money in the Bank, while Logan Paul will put the United States Championship on the line against LA Knight.
With that in mind, let's take a look at four of those title matches, which are expected to main event SummerSlam.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
#4. Damian Priest vs Gunther
Damian Priest has done a great job as a world champion, and he faces a tough challenge in Gunther, who will have a title opportunity for the first time since WrestleMania 40, where he lost his Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn.
We put it on the list mainly because it could lead to changes in The Judgment Day, as we expect Finn Balor to interfere in the match and either cost Priest the title or help him retain it and then assault him.
#3. Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley
This rivalry has yet to reach its peak, but the return of Rhea Ripley, after three months on the sidelines, brought a lot of intensity. Rhea and Liv are preparing for a huge brawl at SummerSlam, with the Women's World Championship on the line.
Given the status of both superstars, it could main event of the show, while any interference from Dominik Mysterio, who is part of the love triangle with Morgan and Ripley, could affect the outcome.
#2. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre
The two have been taking shots at one another since the Royal Rumble in late January. CM Punk's torn triceps injury delayed the match for months, but The Best in the World is now ready to go.
The presence of Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee adds more fuel to the rivalry and could create new angles to the storyline after SummerSlam.
For his part, McIntyre wants to take revenge on CM Punk after the latter cost him the World Heavyweight Championship four times since WrestleMania 40.
#1. Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa
It is the peak of the rivalry between the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion the leader of The Bloodline and the new Tribal Chief. It is also the first time Solo Sikoa will fight for a major title in WWE.
In addition, we put it on top of our list for the main event of SummerSlam, as it could see the return of Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Jimmy Uso, who are expected to engage in a civil war for The Bloodline's bragging rights.
